Barcelona are European Champions!

Full time result: 3-1 to Barcelona against Manchester Utd. It was such a beautiful match to watch. Everything Barcelona did was just pure poetry in motion. Messi was on fire throughout the whole match, the Man Utd defence could not stop him. In honour of Barcelona's win, my banner has changed into their colours!

PS4 being worked on?

A Sony senior executive told investors that work on the PS3 successor is "already under way". "For the home equipment the PS3 still has a product life," said Masaru Kato, the Sony chief financial officer, according to Eurogamer, "but this is a platform business, so for the future platform—when we'll be introducing what product I cannot discuss that—but our development work is already under way, so the costs are incurred there". Do you think that the PSN disaster has fueled Sony to think about the PS4? What do you expect with the PS4? Comment below!

L.A Noire causing problems on both the PS3 and Xbox 360?

A statement released on Rockstar's forums gave the following explanation to consumers complaining of console problems while playing the game on the PS3:

We have received some reports of PS3s overheating while playing L.A. Noire or beeping three times before shutting down/turning themselves off, mostly on older 60GB and 80GB fat models.http://www.blogger.com/img/blank.gif

Primary reports seem to be that updating to firmware 3.61 will cause PlayStations to overheat. There have been various reports of this on a few different games now, all reporting their PS3s turning off or 'Red Lighting' after having installed 3.61.

This can range from games randomly freezing to PS3s turning off anywhere between 30 mins use to 2 hours. We have confirmed locally that multiple games (Rockstar and non-Rockstar) overheat or freeze only when 3.61 is installed.

There are also reports online stating that the Xbox 360 version of the game is locking up. Rockstar seems to be aware of Xbox 360 issues. Part of the studio's advice is to "clear the 360 cache". Click here to see the advice.

Well this doesn't sound good, it hasn't been released here in the UK yet but there already seems to be problems. I also feel sorry for the PS3 as it seems that everything is going wrong with it! I want to know what your opinion on L.A Noire if you have already got it and if you have not then are you looking forward to it? Comment below! :)

Modern Warfare 3 Leaked Info

Just a quick note: Sorry about not posting yesterday, I wasn't able to post due to Blogger going down. Also Blogger decided to delete the post I made on Wednesday :(

Call Of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 has been revealed to be released on November 8th 2011. The leaked information also states that there will be huge battles that take place in New York, London and Paris. The story will tie up loose ends from previous games, and feature the "final moments" of key characters. The story takes place moments after Modern Warfare 2 and is set around the world, with players taking on the roles of a Russian Federal Protective Services agent, SAS Operative, tank gunner, and AC-130 gunner as well as various main characters. The story takes place over 15 chapters, starting with a Russian invasion of Manhatten and ending in Dubai. Also two new characters will debut, Frost and Sandman, members of Delta Force. The whole story has been released but I don't want to spoil it for everyone, although if you do want to read the story spoilers the link is here.

Here are some screenshots (Click to expand):

In the comments I'd like to know if you are a Call Of Duty fan and are you looking forward to the new game? Or are you not a fan of the series? Comment below! :)

Capcom - PSN down time costing us 'hundreds of thousands'

With the PSN being down following the hacking of the service is apparently costing Capcom "hundreds of thousands, if not millions of dollars in revenue" according to Christian Svensson, senior vice president at the publisher. Christian was asked on the Capcom Unity blog what he thought of the hackers responsible for the PSN outage. "I'm frustrated and upset by it for a number of reasons," he wrote. "As a consumer, I also play games online on PS3, which I can't do... and likely my personal information is also compromised. Secondly I like to buy things in the PlayStation Store and that I can't do right now. Sony also stated today that the PSN might not be fully up and running again until May 31, which means it would be six weeks after it was taken offline. Sony is reportedly considering offering rewards for help in its hunt for the hackers responsible for the PSN security breach last month. I wonder what the rewards would be?

Stick with PS3?

So as you can see from earlier posts I am a PS3 user. However, recently my PS3 got hit with the YLOD (Yellow light of death) and my warranty has ran out :( So now I have to decide whether I should replace my PS3 with one from Sony or buy a new XBOX 360. A replacement from Sony will cost roughly £140 and a new 250GB XBOX 360 costs around £159. Now I am really annoyed with what has happened with the PSN and the loss of my personal information, although I have many games on the PS3. On the other hand, all of my friends own a XBOX 360 so it would allow me to stay in contact with them and be able to go online with them and actually feel safe with my personal information. So please vote and comment below! :)

Anonymous - We didn't do it

Anonymous has denied being behind an attack that led to the theft of personal data from around 77 million PSN users. Sony said that they had found a file planted on its network labelled "Anonymous" with "We are legion". However, Anonymous has said that it has been framed by online thieves to throw law enforcement off track. So if it wasn't Anonymous then who was it? Comment below! :)

Addictive iPhone game - Tiny Wings!

I love my iPhone 4 and I love all the apps I have on it, but my favourite app has to be this:

It's a game called Tiny Wings and costs 59p (99 cents). And it's got me hooked it's a really addictive game which is simple and gorgeously presented. The goal is to get the to travel as far possible from left to right before nightfall. Gameplay is really easy, you just have to gain momentum on slops by tapping and holding on the screen then let go when going up a hill to fly. I really suggest that you invest in such a great game! :)

Do you have this app, what do you think of it? Also what Apps should I look to get next? Comment below!

Anonymous behind the PSN terror

News has just come out of the official PlayStation Blog. In the blog, which goes over what was put forward to the U.S. House of Representatives. Sony states that they discovered that the intruders had planted a file on one of our Sony Online Entertainment servers named “Anonymous” with the words “We are Legion.” This shows that Anonymous was behind the terror that has happened with PSN. Personally, I believed that Anonymous would have had something to do with this!

PSN hacked... Again

Sony on Tuesday admitted that an extra 25 million customers on PSN have had their personal details stolen and that they were taken before the theft of 77 million peoples' details on the PSN. The dataset was stolen on 16 and 17 April, before the PSN break-in, which occurred from 17 to 19 April. Sony said that it had not previously thought that the data was copied by the hackers who broke into its systems. Well, it just keeps getting worse for Sony and all PS3 users.

PSN :(

Sorry for the really late blog post guys! Was a bit busy today.

As I am a PS3 owner i feel let down by what has happened at Sony, ive found out today that my personal deatils are being sold off, seriously what the hell. It annoys me how they are not giving any information out about the incident. What could I be getting for this? £50. http://www.mirror.co.uk/news/technology/2011/04/28/sony-could-face-150m-uk-bill-over-playstation-hack-scandal-115875-23090781/ This article shows that Sony are facing a 150 million pound bill over the whole thing. I don't even think £50 is enough to cover what has happened. This whole thing has frustrated me.

What are your opinions on what has happened at Sony? Do you own a PS3? If not are you just laughing at how much a fail Sony has been? Comment with your views on this! :)

The Royal Wedding (Sigh)

Well as I am from the UK, it seems it is my job to talk about this event. I know not alot of people really care about it, apart from the fact we get a 4 day weekend! I do believe it is a good event as it gives us Brits something to be happy about, something to celebrate instead of being depressed with politics and the economy. However, I hate how the media is just cramming it down our throats! Everywhere you look POW William and Kate! Come on now I want to know something else other than this wedding.

I was also suprised that people outside of the UK are planning on watchthing the wedding, since in the USA you would have to wake up at like 2AM! I was also shocked that it is also getting lots of media attention outside of the UK.

So my questions are, are you planning on watching the wedding? What has the media attention been like in your country?

Thanks for reading!
