PS4 being worked on?

A Sony senior executive told investors that work on the PS3 successor is "already under way". "For the home equipment the PS3 still has a product life," said Masaru Kato, the Sony chief financial officer, according to Eurogamer, "but this is a platform business, so for the future platform—when we'll be introducing what product I cannot discuss that—but our development work is already under way, so the costs are incurred there". Do you think that the PSN disaster has fueled Sony to think about the PS4? What do you expect with the PS4? Comment below!

  2. It's about the right time for them to start announcing things, Nintendo is working on the Wii successor, and Sony has been getting a lot of bad press lately. They need a turn around.

  3. I really think it has to do with the PSN disaster. They need something to swing the bad press the other way. A new console, better, faster, sexier than the older one is something that just may do that.

  8. I'd love to see a new console but many games in development would have low sells, like Assassins Creed 3, many studios would be in trouble, imagine that, take care man!
