The Royal Wedding (Sigh)
Well as I am from the UK, it seems it is my job to talk about this event. I know not alot of people really care about it, apart from the fact we get a 4 day weekend! I do believe it is a good event as it gives us Brits something to be happy about, something to celebrate instead of being depressed with politics and the economy. However, I hate how the media is just cramming it down our throats! Everywhere you look POW William and Kate! Come on now I want to know something else other than this wedding.
I was also suprised that people outside of the UK are planning on watchthing the wedding, since in the USA you would have to wake up at like 2AM! I was also shocked that it is also getting lots of media attention outside of the UK.
So my questions are, are you planning on watching the wedding? What has the media attention been like in your country?
Thanks for reading!

Media Attention of the wedding here in the Philippines is like BOOM. Prince William and Ms. Kate everywhere! Newspapers, TV shows, etc.
ReplyDeletei follow that on tv !
ReplyDeleteNPR has been going on about it all week. It's beyond my sphere of interest, I'll not be watching.
ReplyDeleteNo, i'm definitely not going to watch it, although i live in Europe
ReplyDeleteits EVERYWHERE in the US, at least, it is for me
ReplyDelete"POW William and Kate!"
ReplyDeleteFor some reason the world is obsessed with British Royalty.
Watched the wedding, couldn't make it past half way through the ceremony ... got a little dreary, and you could even see it on the couple's faces that they were over it.
ReplyDeleteBet they can't wait to get away from it all, what a farce. Lot of the service was nice, the sermons just went on a little.
Nice blog, following :-)
ReplyDeletebest wedding ever seen !
ReplyDeleteNo I don't plan to watch the wedding. While I do live in the U.S, I don;t watch much television to notice all the media coverage. It just seems like two celebrities getting married, eh.
ReplyDeleteNice post keep it up
ReplyDeleteHad it on tv, passively watched it, was bit crap tbh, I pity the people who were random members of the public who were crying; their lives must be so boring.
ReplyDeleteGood post, I personally refused to watched it but have taken advantage of the bank holidays.
ReplyDeleteI believe that this wedding is overrated too damn much. How will it affect ANYTHING in the world? With all due respect, we all understand that the royal title has no real political or economical weight, they do not get to really decide about anything, so why bother us all so much with it?
ReplyDeleteI'm not watching it. :D
Gratz for them. Marriage of the century.
ReplyDeleteBut when I see it for a whole day i sick ;/
no thanks...
ReplyDeleteAll are equal... I don't understand how it serves to have a monarchy. All life is majestic. Screw elitism & people think another could be more special because of a bloodline. Pathetic.
ReplyDeleteI knew people who stayed up all night to watch it. I don't understand why...
ReplyDeleteit was good I guess, not that I care much.
ReplyDeleteI'm in the US, and the coverage over here is pretty obscene. I can only imagine what is going on there in the UK.
ReplyDeleteI wish I had that weekend too, than I would care.
ReplyDeletei can´t see that wedding any more ....
ReplyDeleteNice blog bro... Following :)
ReplyDelete2 billion worldwide views has to count for something...
ReplyDeleteUgh why do people care so much about this wedding?
ReplyDeleteI'm sorry to say this but some people really need to get a life
I'm just wondering what kind of bachelor party "The Prince" had with all that paper he's got!?!?
ReplyDeleteI was up when it was playing and started watching but gave up. It was booooring. Happy for the couple though.
ReplyDeleteI went to my mum's last night, got lumbered with watching it this morning, some of it was pretty, but mostly tedious commentary and hours of boring footage.
ReplyDeleteI find this entire thing stupid. Everyone at my school was talking about them yet they never did or probably knew them till yesterday or earlier today.
ReplyDeleteI watched. So pompous...
ReplyDelete2 billion people watched it in tv, it's beyond comprehension.
ReplyDeletewedding is stupid ffs, who cares?
ReplyDeleteinteresting! thanks
ReplyDeletehaha! my dad was watching this, this morning, woke me up!
ReplyDeletehehe theres gonna be dirty royal sex tonight
ReplyDeleteFour day weekend... I'm so jealous.
ReplyDeleteEh, U.S. here, not a fan of any celebrities, really. I don't mind the royalty, but really, I'm more ashamed of all the attention people pay to it. But I find your stuff intriguing, I'll be looking forward to future posts.
ReplyDeleteIt's great that the British monarchy is still going strong, and this wedding just reinforces this. Britain without a monarchy is like Japan without an earthquake - it just wouldn't be the same.
